Digital User Experience Intern @ Verizon

SUMMARY.

In the summer of 2023, I was a Digital User Experience intern for Verizon’s Value Brand under the Digital Product and Marketing Team. The team is made up of designers, researcher, marketing strategist, developers and project managers who work on creating products and campaign for Verizon Prepaid, Tracfone, Total by Verizon, and Straight Talk, and Visible.

CONTRIBUTION.

As an intern, I got to collaborate with the team to work on the launching of family plan project for Straight Talk, and the newest campaign for Total by Verizon. Based on the customer behavior data, I also led a A/B Testing for each of the project to enhance user engagement and improve conversion for the new products.

With three other interns, I developed 3 series of digital strategies for B2C of Verizon’s main brand on customer re-engagement and retention.

KEY TAKEAWAYS.

It was a fantastic opportunity to collaborate with experienced UX Designers, UX Researchers, Digital Marketing Strategists, Developers, and Product Managers. During the internship, I developed my communication skills for working with cross-functional teams effectively and efficiently. I realized the importance of utilizing data to eliminate bias while making a creative decision. Additionally, I learned to set up meetings with stakeholders and proactively share my works/ ideations with my team, which helped my projects move forward smoothly.
